This is the fourth of a series of five articles that will explain the enhancements to Oracle CRM On Demand in Release 25 (R25). This article’s focus is on the updates to CRM Data Management.

An identical Health Care Professional (HCP) Contact Allocation of a different type can be imported without errors. If you are a Life Sciences CRM On Demand user, this applies to you. These Allocations are used to track the maximum number of samples of product that can be given to health care professionals by sales reps in the pharmaceutical industry.

Same Social Profiles with different Community field values can be imported. If you have the “Oracle Social Engagement and Monitoring” application in your CRM On Demand, this applies to you. The restriction on Author has been loosened to include Author, Community, and Contact. Now  you can easily track multiple social profiles for the same contact.

Audit trails are used to track changes to fields on a record and, as such, support has been enabled on Business Plan, Household, Objective, Portfolio, and Solution record types. Keep in mind that the more fields you audit, the longer the record will take to save. Also, auditing on these additional record types is not by default. You will need to access the record type in “Application Customization” and select the “Field Audit Setup” section.

Book and Book Users are now audited. As an administrator you can now monitor any changes made to Books and Book Users such as hierarchy and membership. All changes are logged for review.

These changes make interacting with Oracle CRM On Demand less frustrating, but before you import records, double check that your data quality is clean. Remove duplicate Accounts, Contacts, and Leads now to take advantage of associating new Addresses, HCP Contact Allocations, and Social Profiles to the correct record.
